Happy New Year!! Let’s review your compliance obligations!!

With the arrival of the new year, it is time to assess certain obligations for the following year and create or review your action plan for compliance issues.

Here are some tips to support you in your work:

  1. Developing or revising your compliance program. If your compliance program expired in December, it is necessary that you create a new one to be clear about how you will approach your obligations this year. If your program is in force, it is a good time to review how you are complying with it.
  2. Reviewing the action plan. Did we comply with everything we agreed to on these dates? What are the points that remain unattended? Did we finish the action plan and is it necessary to start a new one? Do we need an independent evaluation?
  3. Do your manuals need updating? Check if your manuals are up to date and if it is necessary to review them at this time of the year or wait for the revision plan to be completed on another date.
  4. Did I carry out the annual training for my collaborators? Check the date of the last training and schedule the next one according to your schedule. If you haven’t defined it, the beginning of the year is always a good time.
  5. Did I document my reports or responses to information requests by the authority? As you know, sometimes day to day work does not allow us to have all the requirements or well-documented reports. At the beginning of the year it is always a good time to check if we have left a copy of the reports or response to requirements. If we need them again, we’ll know where to find them.

Like every beginning of the year, this is the ideal time to plan the fulfillment of your obligations. And if you need support with this, don’t hesitate to contact us!
